7 simple YouTube Help Center tutorials

I was encouraged to contribute to the YouTube Help Center after seeing this call for submissions. I chanced upon it just days ago and picked 7 I thought I could do in one afternoon after work. Some of the others I didn't have the equipment for (i.e., I don't own a digital camcorder).

These short tutorials cover mostly basic stuff that veteran YouTubers take for granted, but if you're new, you can surely benefit from video tutorials about the most popular video-sharing site in the world. As you can see in the player above (click to view this post on my blog if you're on an RSS reader), they are:

  1. Add a friend to your contact list
  2. Add video annotations
  3. Change your profile picture
  4. Customize your channel
  5. How to make a playlist
  6. How to upload a video
  7. View higher quality videos

I've had past gripes about YouTube help, and that's exactly why: instead of bitch and moan, I'd rather actively make the experience better.

P.S. No, I haven't been hired by Google. Die rumors die!
