A break in the clouds (real-life WindLight?)
Posted on: June 23, 2007I've taken far more snapshots within Second Life than I ever have with "real" cameras. Here's something I captured the other day, looking outside. I did some level correction, tone-mapping, noise-reduction, and added faux grain (sounds counterintuitive but it's not) to accentuate the final image's beauty, and perhaps, just perhaps, bring it closer to what I see in my fave online world that I'd like to experience offline. Emotions flow both ways, y'know.
Of particular note — what particularly stands out to me here — would have to be the iridescent lens flare, the puffy formation of clouds, how the light reflects on the analogue ripple water ;), the whole framing (composition?) of the shot, and if you look closely, there's even a little bird that flew by. How's that for timing?

woot! You live there?
That's an amazing view outside the window.
Isn't it amazing how water ripples so complex and yet uses no computing power at all?

ZOMG First Life!
I think I had forgot what the First Sun looks like. o.o
That's one amazing shot.

I want to live where you live…when I look out my home window, I see something much less impressive.

Yes that's my front yard, thanxies! It's peaceful and quiet here in the forest. I'm very thankful for the tranquility in my neighborhood (if you can even call it that)… in Second Life it's always soooo busy, so it's a nice contrast. I don't think I could get used to living long in the city.
Hahaha re: "water ripples so complex", such is the wonder of nature.
