A vision of watermelon heaven in Zune Arts' "Masks"

Posted on: January 6, 2008

Zune Arts has a variety of really eclectic, inspiring short films — mainly animation in a diversified assortment of styles. The way the characters are paraded out in animated fashion for you to make a selection, like one streaming queue atop a reflective surface leading to pixel-heaven, is very memorable.

I particularly enjoyed "Masks", which I originally found in a lower-rez version on YouTube, notably this bit, which is a delirious melange of Yellow Submarine, Super Mario Bros. (see the warp tube-looking thing?), Alice in Wonderland, and OMG… WATERMELON.
