Among all software I haven't played a role in creating, I heart Ableton Live. I've made a series of fun mashups & remixes with it and am heading back into producing wholly original "techno" music.
Like all immensely marketable products, Live is of wonderful quality. But beyond that, it's easy to talk about — and Ableton does a lot to promote these desires, including what's inside the box. No wonder why so many hardware devices now include a Lite version of Live.
Important lessons to be learned, including if you're not familiar with the connections between word of mouth marketing and pro audio.
