After hibernation

Posted on: February 26, 2007

My apologies if you tried to get here in the last couple of days but found TORLEY.COM to be down… and hence, unreachable! This was because my service provider, DreamHost, had a planned power outage which lasted longer than expected. Never fun, but I don't like to let downtime get me down — so I was busy on the weekend ComMonkeying and writing Knowledge Base articles. And also thinking about what it feels like when I'm the customer of a business.

I'm thankful to be back now!

Oooh so you're hosting at Dreamhost too :) I totally empathise with you, Torley, it has been a rough few days at Dreamhost… and I've "lost" my own blog :) They said it was on a "bad server" or something and they're moving it elsewhere.

They're cool guys, though. Uh… I hate to say these things, but you guys at Linden Lab would need to hire 50 Torleys to be able to provide as good a customer service as Dreamhost :( But… I know you're trying hard!

    Welcome back to blogging :)

@Gwyn: In my experience, they look broken to me. I don't see yours, and my old one is still showing. Looks like Tom recently posted an update, tho. We'll see (literally).
