That's the coolest Blade Runner-esque shot I've seen in a while… kind of reminds me a little of the William Gibson covers, where you can just make sense of a face through the pixelly static. Also reminds me of Syd Mead's paintings… which brings us back to Blade Runner.
Speaking of which, why the hell is the movie called Blade Runner? He runs no blades!
Akela, you hit this SPOT-ON! I am a YUGE fan of Blade Runner, and Harrison Ford, for that matter. I also really like Syd Mead, altho I find it shameful there are so few Internet matches on him — oh wait, that harkens back to an earlier goof of mine when I spelled him as "Sid Mead". MY_BAD.TXT
Hahah the name of the movie never made any sense to me either, wasn't there a fanfic explanation somewhere?
Bladerunner was a mashup of a few books, mostly Philip K Dicks " Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep ".
Hard to belive it will be 25 years old in 2007
I didn't know it was a mashup, Shockwave — what other details from other books are rolled in? I know Rosen got renamed as Tyrell in the film.
