At your fingertips, sire! Torley gets a nu keyboard.

I just gotta nu keyboard. It kicks ass… it's a Microsoft Digital Keyboard Pro, and altho I'm not familiar with the non-Pro variety, this is a?very slick, good-priced one. I acquired it on sale, which is prolly better than not getting it on sale, and it was easy to unpack and set up too. My previous keyboard was a Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro, which had its support oddly dropped from the latest IntelliType drivers — for some inexplicable reason, the Internet Keyboard (non-Pro) was still included! Even weirder still, all the photos I've seen for that older keyboard show blue buttons and wrist-rest, yet the one I had was a boring gray-on-grey.

The feel of the MDKP (doesn't that sound badass, like a piece of military hardware?) is luschious (sp!). It was described to me by a salesperson as being "somewhere between a desktop and a laptop keyboard", whatever this means, because via the wonder of USB, you can connect this to both. The response is noticeably a lot better for me than my previous set of keys, and as subjective as touch is, it is clicky without being clacky and offers enough pressure without being too resistant to the touch. I INSISTED on trying before buying, so I got a display model out of the box and started jammin' away. Wheee.
In addition to basic keyboarding, there is a zoom bar on the lefthand side — which won't be that useful to me as I use the scroll wheel on the mouse for such operations, anyhoo, but the layout of the "power buttons" on the top are very nice. I haven't configured my five special Favorites keys to do anything yet, but like many things with me, this will all be unfolding in time.
Very pleased with my new keyboard so far!
