Benja Kepler's "Creating a forest wall" vidtut

Posted on: March 26, 2007

Since I usually can't reply to IMs, especially if I've logged on to do some quick tasks and find myself with a screenful of text that was sent when I was offline, I've been receiving more emails, and for the inworld-insistent, notecards recently!

On one of said notecards, Benja Kepler kindly let me know that inspired by my work, he made a video tutorial titled "Creating a forest wall"". If you've been to gardens in Second Life, perhaps you've seen forest walls used to provide an illusion of depth using flat textures. 'Course, you can go further and stagger them for even more depth, but if you don't know where to get started, give this a viewthrough:

This vidtut's been added to my Video Tutorials list on the Second Life Wiki, which any Resident can edit. If you've got great vidtuts to add, PLEASE DO.

And the music's my "Piece of Piano", previously also used by Dimitrio Lewis in a forest movie of his own. Ah, connections.
