@Kisa: Ooooh. Now that'd be nifty. I'll let Mark know; you should also suggest, I bet there are technical insights which require your code-fu! Combine powahs!

Well, I use them with the Flickr API and the SL Map API to make that map thing of mine (which is a little borked right now)

But you could do things like pull-out all the photos from (say) Grassmere and display them as a continually updated snapshot of what's going on around your build.

Or something - it just makes mash-ups very easy :-D

Signore: I have a number of thoughts, a frequent one I bring up is that beyond simply doing a screen capture, the art of digital-to-digital photography (e.g., no or minimal analogue source imagery involved) and snapshots within online worlds is still in its infancy, and misunderstood by many. Over time, like much art has been perceived, I believe this will shift.

Kisa: I'm curious, what exactly do the region name and coordinates do, besides being searchable as tags? I've been suggesting a number of things to Mark recently as they come up. :)

Think you can persuade Mark to tag the photos with the region name and coordinates as well? :-D

Hi Torley,
the italian SL community is growing up and recently some fellows asked about SL snapshots hosting. We gave a look to the Flickr terms of service, and it turns out that Second Life photos might not show up in public searches - that's the subject of a discussion here too:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/secondlife/discuss/72157594150869661

I have a personal Flickr account and I really enjoy it, but I'm not going to use Flickr for my snapshots if they are going to not appear in public searches.

If I may ask, what do you think is the meaning of the Flickr behaviour about this?
