Compiling Video Tutorials and Texture Tools

I'm particularly fond of link lists that go beyond their name and give even brief definitions for context. For instance, I've found many links to texturing resources on the Net, but the lot are a mishmash of titles without further explanation. This is especially confusing when you realize there are great sites like "Lemog3d" whose purpose isn't immediately deduced from the name, but after you explain something like:

"A variety of quality textures in 512×512 which seamlessly tile"

that saves ya time right there.

Neat indentation also counts for a lot. For a lovely example, see the PacificRim Exchange Learning Page. I also like NMC Campus' Tips and Tricks.

Way back in the olden dayes of the web, I remember crafting what I considered to be an ideal description for my website and submitting it to Yahoo!'s directory — which, at the time, relied on human-powered link-adding. Even in this day and age of search engines, there's very much a need for humans to communicate how valuable content is (at least, "in their opinion") to other humans.

In the present, I found a need to provide links to:

… at least the ones I've personally enjoyed and found helpful (thus far) — nice thing here is, you can add to the list too, 'cuz it's on the Second Life Wiki, open for any Resident to edit. Go on and add your faves!

These have just started, and as I've found has long been true: there'll always be a need for fun, memorable education, and you can never get enough.

Today, I decided "get smarter" sounded too long, so I'm using the word "upsmart" instead — upsmart youself!
