So much stuff good going on Terra Nova. Constance Steinkuehler ponders things over in "Online Muggings, Offline Arrests" (wonder if the reverse will ever be familiar?). I'm especially fond of the saying "carebear town", and this reminds me of games like Deus Ex where you're given a choice to take a stealthier, or at least functionally non-violent way out to solve probs. Gamepath that enforces killing without?or with limited?altpaths is not really celebrating individual styles, so that, in one slivery way, makes character classes have big question marks over them. That's tangential and loops back into fear of carrying a loaded character and getting all your goods (translated into offline value) swiped by a real thief in the night!
I would like to see more videos of bots in action. I'd also like to see when they become sufficiently advanced enough to converse like regular players if need be to blend in and exhibit other unsuspicious behavior, yet still have a tactical and unfair advantage to be deployed in a game. What about an MMO full of bots? Bot vs. bot? Botwars? Sky high!
And where is the Blade Runner MMORPG?
