Following up from my last post, User Experience Designer Benjamin Linden let me know that Dazzle Revision 2 is available. If you weren't previously familiar, Dazzle is meant "to modernize the visual appearance of the Viewer User Interface". We're ramping things up gradually en route to a formal First Look release, but right now, organically attending to early feedback as it comes in. Your comments from the last round, both on my blog, my Flickr stream, direct IMs, and the wiki page's Discussion section are muchly appreciated.
In Rev. 2, some of the legibility issues that peeved me are fixed, there's some sleek new glyph art from Brent, and already, we've spotted several areas for improvement in the next iteration.
And just for fun, aliceinwire Bleac sent me a watermelonized version of Dazzle that she knew I'd be more comfy with (pardon, the aspect ratio's off a bit):
Note that while customizing UI skins is not the intent of Dazzle (however, Dazzle may facilitate related improvements down the road), you're welcome to tweak the parameters at your own discretion.

Please make Dazzle an option! It's too bright! There's nothing wrong with the current UI color scheme.
Thanks!
