RapidShare allows you to download… lots of things. Whatever you use it for, I was initially disappointed that even after I upgraded to Premium, I had to go through several clicks and various confirmations. I muttered, "Why can't I just download this file with a single click?"
While not the most obvious, there is a way, and you'll certainly want to turn it on — I haven't found any disadvantages, it's simply convenient. Here's how:
- Log into your RapidShare Premium account (if you aren't already).
- Go to Premium Zone > Settings.
- Under "Configuration", check "Direct downloads, requested files are saved without redirection via RapidShare".
- Scroll down and click the "Save" button towards the right.
The option looks like this:
For even faster downloading, use an accelerator like the Firefox add-on DownThemAll! You can easily download all the RapidShare links on a page:
- Surf to the page you want to slurp files from.
- In Firefox, go to Tools menu > DownThemAll! Tools > DownThemAll!
- Under "Fast filtering", enter "rapid". You'll see all links containing "rapid" are selected.
- Click "Start!" button.
