@Cedric From the in-studio videos I've seen, yes, with layers of keyboards, it's what Vangelis triggers. I used to sleep to "Antarctica" every night.

@Jamie I got the sample from a friend, my sampler acquisitions don't go back that far. First hardware sampler I owned was a Yamaha A5000, so I can only talk about the Akai S1000 and such vicariously.

@Cedric again, I don't know what drum machine was used on those but they're pretty straightforward. (And I've heard that catchy song before.) A lot of Italo disco used what's on here: http://www.euro-flash.net/80ssynthesizers.php

Sounds amazing. I always wonder if he is using different layers on the board to playback multiple instruments and orchestra at the same time. This is my favorite.
