So I've come to realize: the many Torleys across the many universes. Each with a different personality subset and slightly different appearance, even. Not even all of them are humanform, as in the case of my current avie, Torlop. As Stephen King once said, "Fiction is the truth inside the lie". I've told stories of a speculative, sci-fan nature on SL, reaching broadband across the innards of my personality and draping it across the sky like some brightly-colored canopy. And what else? What else is there? I also have come to realize that I can't get away from blogging. The well goes dry sometimes but flushes full of water the moment I step away with a bucket, and ah, I just have too much, too much more to share that I'll unfold like the laundry of so many honeymoon bedrooms. (Quaint visual image, that.)

So we have april rains, light showery drizzles, with me floating above the night sky of the gridverse in my Cubey hot air balloon and looking down in wonder at the world below. Sometimes zonked out, not by chemicals, but by the sheer exhaustion of reaching into this place and hoping to pull out more rabbits from a hat, the way Goofy has Pluto for a pet. And I can't turn the fog off — oh, it can be a very scary thing for some two hundred meters and up, but there is comfort in it. Like cotton candy, you take a bite and mesh your face in and it's like becoming part of not only the air, but the whole atmosphere.

I'd like to point to the image on the right —>. It's somewhat of a fat piccie, but if you're reading this, you likely have broadband anyway. But in any case, I should not be a gracious host so I apologize for the slow loading, but I make no apologies for how accurately Kris Ritter has summed me up. She actually compiled this out of my quotes, so it's not out of context or anything. ;) She left a comment the other day on the left-hand side, and I know I had to get around to posting this sooner or later. Well, now's the time (and you can click on it to see it in context and visit the rest of her site, bless her).

It reminds me of when I?was new and out of the gates, and although I've waned and waned nostalgic before, I particularly paid attention to the fact that Pituca hosted Jeopardy! today, the first time in a long time. Jeopardy on 2004.09.15 was my first Second Life event EVAR and although Torlop, never mind Torley Jr., is a big silly bunny and not really one for things of this un-nature, I smile a lot. Full circles, more circles, circles squared, advex incognumb.

If you're new to Second Life and reading this here sentence, I welcome ya. Hope to see you inworld soon, maybe catch you by the Welcome Area. Look for the big green-and-pink rabbit in the flower hat. There's a great new Discovery Hunt game for rookies by my friends Eboni, Trimda, and Cristiano, BE SURE to check it out and get some kewl stuff along with seeing the sights. Kexy — that loveable Kex Godel — has come back in full force with a new version of her FAQ (boggles the mind why Lindens haven't made it official!!?) — so go get it, click on her panda backpack or IM her, many answers to many useful questions, practical knowledge within. Even old hands could use a refresher on SL knowledge. She was there on my very first day too, and it's nice to know that although the place has changed from a stark selection of lean railings to an almost epicurean travesty of Parisian delights, some of my favorite people are still here and helping out in the WA. And fresh faces, new friends, ongoing adventures that will take me from point A to C and back to B to see what I missed the first time?around.

Hey, as long as the tree doesn't get uprooted, it can keep growing towards the heavens, branches stretching like weary limbs but bolstered with the ripe harvest of fruits by moonlight. To further the analogy, choice cuts can be detached and grafted, spreading the love around. And what else?

The sound that bunny-rabbits make when they're excited!
