Does anyone reading this know how to search Eventful by "# of Events Added" or "# of Venues Added"? Reason I ask is because lindenlab (yes, Linden Lab) has 58,315 of the former and 852 of the latter. That's a lot! But, with me not knowing any better, I wonder if that's still a lot, relatively speaking.

Related: "Using 'Eventful' to Find and Share Events in Second Life" in this month's Second Opinion newsletter, which I read to figure this out as I'd not really used it before. Things I observed:

  • Just subscribing to a raw feed of the events isn't useful for me. Makes me wish Events, like Classifieds, could have pictures! (I'm so accustomed to it on the whole too, I need variance in my stimuli!)
     
  • I wish Eventful had a dedicated "Run by" field to show who was running an event. I noticed that the host's name automatically gets placed into the tags. Still, not immediately determinable. There's a "Performers in Event" section which could be very well used for the rising Live Music scene.
     
  • I found out I have to do Region searches in the "What", not "Where" field. Threw me off for a few minutes.
     
  • Links currently use secondlife://, but for the unitiated, perhaps they should use SLurls.

Best still would be—if it hasn't happened yet—someone wanting to attend an event in SL and thinking it was a party happening offline!
