I have. Just recently, I got 50 prints (for just 99-cent shipping with coupon codes) from WinkFlash, and they turned out really nicely. Shots from assorted parts of my Second Life, and some moments shared with Ravenelle, too. Most of them were glossy with a couple matte. When I got them in the mail (snail, not e-), I was very excited — not just because it was a good bargain (which it is), but because it spoke loudly about how intertwined my lives are, and how it's really one big life to me.
While I'm not particularly sentimental, and sometimes I'm downright amoral (but in a benevolent way), there are times where I could see myself filling up a whole photo album — you know, the ones with big coiled rings and heavy leather covers — with memories from my Second Life. It's even funnier when the number of pictures I've taken in "First Life" with a digital camera of the physical sort pale to the at least hundred-thousand I've done inworld.
I see so many wonderful memories captured of Second Life representing actual emotions that surely will be relived in some capacity upon seeing them again and again.
Anyone (primarily in the US) wanting some cheap photos should check out "How To Get 380 Free Digital Prints" as a starter. I know it sez "expired", but some of them are still good as of this writing. But be sure to check shipping costs, those may come out higher than you expect.

Torley, I've never gotten them printed "professionally", but I do have a bunch of my favorites printed in 4×6 magneted to my fridge.
I've been tempted to take a "high-rez" snapshot and make an 11×14 for above my desk, though.
I thought I was the only person who did this! It's great to physically hold a snapshot from your Second Life and show random people pictures from another world, and for added fun you can examine the print closely to see if any dots are visible! (ok maybe that is just me)
OMG I admit it, I did!! I took a 10 megapixel screenshot of my avatar on Svarga and printed it on a professional a3 plotting machine.
I do love that picture of us. This was fun to do, I can't wait for the next batch!
I didn't yet print SL photos, but have done it with other digitals in the past and I'm always gathering shots for printing some day. Usually they get cheaper if you order more, more than 50 is cheaper than less than. Always looking to save those few cents

@Dimi: Yes, I totally agree… speaking of dots, I remember when I had my first inkjet printer, and the dots were so visible. I had a color dot matrix before that too. Now, the quality's significantly finer on my Pixma IP5000, and that's not even a newest-of-the-new model.

I've seen a lot of anime posters which are very pretty and colorful (my brother's made some of them), and I wonder by sheer stretch of the imagination what more avatar ones would look like.

In SL I gracefully regressed back into childhood when I LOVED to play with fluffy dolls, dressing them and stuff. I feel like a little girl again!! :)))

I can very much relate about Second Life being like a second childhood… this whole watermelon thing for me is the culmination of many youthful dreams come true!
