Faerie Fire
Posted on: May 24, 2005Sometimes, it may seem like an entry Title on my blog has little or nothing to do with the meat of the writing, but I tell ya, there is thematic cohesion. Just gotta know where to look for it.
I just came back from a DUNK A LINDEN event held at the Touchstone Fair on FairChang Project. By host Jase Byrne's accord ("Hear ye hear ye!"), some 40 Lindens (!) were dunked. Looks like StoneSelf Karuna got snaps of?many of?'em!?More pics here. What a glorious day. I saw so many good friends there, all fun in the sun. Touchstone is all about a multicultural — well, maybe that's not the right word — but a choicey, diverse representation of numerous groups in SL and how they contribute to the community. If you wanna know more, there's no better way than to visit and find out yeself.
Siggy Romulus has gone rapidfire and has already released Expansion Packs #1 and #2 to his Emote-A-Rama . Each contains deca microanims for your expressive pleas00r. Remember, you can add your own anims too — just drag-and-drop into the thang, renamed with a word of?your choice. It's?that easy.?Siggy's also soliciting (hehe what a dirty word) suggestions for future words-tied-to-actions… send him your ideas!
The Textures Unlimited building in Clyde is like a modern art gallery — inside and?outside. I mean, it'd be SO?disappointing if that wasn't the case, right? But thankfully, it most inversely isn't!?Swatches all around. If that's not your bag you can sit on another kind of art and watch as it gets all swirly around yew.
Rico Plisskin set up a really well-textured outdoorsy scene of his in wuvme Karuna's new Caliente City (formerly Miami Beach). I smelled the smoke from Snapzilla and simply had to head over! The one of the things I lurve most, catching something exciting in progress, and instead of going "Darn I missed it!" I can go "Well… looks like 10 minutes have passed, maybe it's still happening!" and then I beam myself to the scene of the shine.
Today's very happy face is Sean Gorham —>. Sean is a very helpful?and friendly?Resident, so you might see her at the Welcome Area or elsewhere in the gridverse, but her endearing attitude will compel you to ask questions. Therefore, ask.?:D
SL needs more contrails, harvestable fruit, and avatar?decapitations. Word has it Rickard Roentgen, maker of that thing that makes you fall down in a pool of blood when you get shot (aka the "Super Collider", IM me if you want one free), has one of the latter things in the works. I've not checked in with him for a few days… hmmm.
Kyrah Abattoir has finished a special something for me. I will go inworld soon to see what it is.
