There came a time in my life when I realized everyday, not just the holidays, should be celebrated. Still, the collective magnets of this time of year draw us near, and it's with great pleasure I share Holidium, which is the element of celebration. *smiles*
It's some of my best pianistry yet, with 21 pieces for your enjoyment. Riffs inspired by traditional hymns and pop numbers burst forth in plentiful color as flowing chords get kissed under the mistletoe. There are fast-moving spectacles of emotion and pauses that refresh. It's all quite pleasant, really. And just in time for you to open your prezzies and have a heartwarming meal to!
My piano of choice for this album: Imperfect Samples' Braunschweig Upright, which has an intimate, cozy feel. (Backed up by Akoustik's pedal.) Almost as if you're gathered around to hear me play.
The lovely artwork and cover model is my wife's avatar. She also glammed up the shot, and I added some extra golden. Romantic, just like the music.
[UPDATE @ 2008-12-29] Holidium is available on Jamendo!
Enjoy and happy holidays!

Torley…. that is really lovely… amazing. You, my friend, are a crazy talented dude.
Ryder
Very nice, it's now safely ensconced in my iTunes to be listened to year round.
I hope you enjoy making all these wonderful things as much as I enjoy hearing them. Your music, your photos, even your video instructions on SL– "Prolific Linden", you make my life a better place.
Awwwwwwwwwe thanx Ryder, Sougent, and Strawberry!
Thank you Torley for all the wonderful things you do!
You are an inspiration for all.
Big hug!!
Thanks! *huggs*
music is the best present to get from a friend…
Thanks a lot, Torley, you gave me some wonderful moments, just listening…
Oh my. You are a constant amazement. I'm a veteran educator (old dog) trying to get up to speed with virtual education (new tricks). I've been watching your video's and reading and collecting your textures… and now there is music also! Do you ever sleep?
I feel like I fell in the ocean over-my-head in this virtual world, but it is what the student's need. I managed to get some land on the Teen & Educator Island and want to have a group of high schoolers (who are way ahead of me) build there. I'd like to use some of your textures and music there.
Thank you for what you are doing! Any tips greatly appreciated.

@marinu: You are very very welcome.
@McKay: I sleep but feel a constant drive to be creative! What sorts of tips are you looking for? I don't know if you've already seen my texture packs inworld (which are distributed on Teen Second Life too).
Torley, I came across your romantic piano bit on youtube and couldn't stop watching. I have dabbled in piano for many years, and have been able to self teach myself many songs, but the way you play is absolutely mesmerizing. I learned some great tips in your video, and I really enjoy listening to your compositions. I'm glad to see there are still people out there that inspire true creativity.
Bravo. Truly!
Ohhhh you are so very welcome Delphiki! More piano music is coming in the future, and I'm sooo delighted you enjoyed!
Wow just download this one as well, thanks for sharing your wisdom freely, listening to it whilst I finish a report on Virtual Reality, BSc final year essay. It's really soothing!
"Keep on amplifying your awesome". I'm sure this is one of your quotes somewhere.
The worlds are better places with you in it… -:)
