Floating Higher
Posted on: March 20, 2007Inspired by Tangerine Dream's excellent Dream Mixes 4 rework of "Love on a Real Train":
How did I do this? It's largely because of Filter Forge. I'll be writing more on the topic in the future, but if you click through to examine the detail, you'll see what appears to be:
Digital psychedelia. Very cool. It almost looks like a printed woven fabric. Weaving with binary - now there's a thought …..
as Second Wolf graciously observed.
This technique comes courtesy of Zephos, who created the Binary Universe filter. I can't recommend Filter Forge enough, especially because of its YUGE (currently 1820 and rising) collection of user-created filter content, all of them free to download and use with the program, and many of them high quality.
So if you're looking to add spices to your snapshots, be they from Second Life or the offline world, I wholeheartedly recommend (as I have before) giving Filter Forge a go!
