It's the weekend now and I was working — will be again if more grid troubles occur. We'll see! Got lots of Knowledge Base articles to do and blog articles to write.

Thanxies to each of you for visiting me here. I know it's my personal blog, and I was blogging at work, hehe... but no matter which persona I go with, it's all me, the umbrella Torley.

@Chronic: Done, and I hope you don't mind me defying you by replying. I took breaks! Thanx.

@Gwyon: YUMMIE.

@Simone: Thank you so much Simone!

@Adri: Awww thanx Adri!

@Aardvark: I hope you enjoyed the ones today, thanks a lot. Bugged me a lot too when things broke, and I hope we'll have more peace in the future.

@Grizzy: Really nice of you to write all this. I'm glad you have programming perspective too; it often looks like one of those "to know, you must be" things.

I totally smiled about what you said about "not for any of the reasons that people automatically assume", because I get a lot of those assumptions too, as you can prolly tell. I'm really a believe in people expressing themselves individually, even if that means having motives which don't fit an existing trope which applies to others, but not you.

I always point out plus, I have a guy, dog, robot, bird, MELONZILLA, etc. av. Heck, there's even multiple Torley Jr.s from different timestreams.

Awe! :D

Torley,

I just wanted to thank you for all you have done for Second Life. First of all thanks for putting up with all the rude ungrateful mean people that you had to deal with during the recent database issues. As a programmer I understand how hard it is to keep up something that is constantly evolving and constantly gaining new users and I admire how hard you all have worked while putting up with angry users who aren't really being fair.

Also thanks for what you've added to the sl world. I also am a rl male that uses a female avatar and not for any of the reasons that people automatically assume (gay, crossdresser, like to stare at my av etc), but I do have my reasons. Anyway I think the fact that you did it first and were honest about it made it easier for me to be honest about it and easier for people to accept. Thanks for everything. You are without a doubt my favorite Linden.

Torley,

Wanted to let you know that I really appreciated the live blog updates yesterday. Might not have helped me TP anywhere or rez, but it made the situation more tolerable. Thanks again, and keep up the good work.
