Fun with social media: I took this photo on the weekend when my wife and I were at 99 Ranch Market — they’re focused on Asian products, and she pointed this out. I snapped it with my cellphone cam, came home, and soon found out that one of the top stories on Digg concerned anime-ish ocular accessories.

Thinking quickly and/or not very much at all yet cruising on pure impulse, I uploaded the above pic to Flickr and linked to it from the source site, InventorSpot.

Bonus: I learned more about EXIF, and that this picture retained EXIF data even using Picnik-via-Flickr to bring out the color a little.
