Making computer music keeps getting easier and more accessible! Not only do gear prices keep decreasing as processing power increases, many inroads have been made from "pro tools" to "play toys" thanks to web multimedia and the iPhone. High-priced gear has cheap, or even free analogues on these platforms! For instance, take the $1,000 Tenori-On. It looks so sci-fi, but out of the reach of casual pocketbooks.
Enter innovators Hobnox with Nudge! Drawing from ToneMatrix and their previous grooveboxes, it's super-simple free fun… here's a catchy loop I made with Nudge in a few seconds, and like those infomercials say, IT'S THAT EASY! You can make one too.

Here's a video showing how to use it:
And you can even fake BT-style stutter edits if you right-click for too long, muahahahaha.
Like I emphasize, the awesome awesome part is you can share your micro-tunes. How long before they add the ability to chain these patterns into a song and see who you're connected with?
Blessed be Synthtopia and Wire to the Ear for exposing my ears to this!

Thanks for sharing this, Torley.
Making drum riddums is especially fun!
I'm tempted to share this with all my friends.
MMM GOOD NOM NOM RIDDIMS
This reminds me of KORG-DS10. Have you tried messing around with that? It's for the Nintendo DS.

I haven't really been able to mess around with it myself, but it's got all sorts of knobs, and effects, and you can make loop patterns and such with them. I think you'd have so much fun with this little game you can take on the go!
Love the videos Torley. And I love the attitude you have in life. Keep it up!
