They may use excuses to get out of it, but perhaps the reality—something you'll have to wake up someday to—is that they just aren't interested in you expressing a part of yourself, or they don't have the time for it. Meaning, it isn't important enough to them. Meaning, your thoughts, your feelings, the core of your self-expression, isn't connected. Meaning, you aren't communicating.
