Like a velveteen rug that cometh forth from the forest, it is dense. So shall the adventures of me in Second Life continue, finding exceptional people, places, things… and more! Sometimes combinations of the aforementioned. Today, my spotlight shines on three special people in my Second Life.

Exhibit A: a picture of Iumi Cline's wing (one of two). There was a time in SL, before I was in it, when wings were like a "fad". I say "like", because they were not quite. Some prominent wingbearers continue to assert their individuality, including Aimee Weber. Connected to this, Iumi made the Flutterbucks parody featuring an iconic Aimee you may have seen in the recent Burning Life. Iumi (pronounced I-you-me) can do neat logos, and she made her own wings. Drew them out herself. We've had a few conversations so far, and I'm just compelled to mention her because something about her is so graciously nice. Just good vibes, ya know? She uses the emoticon ":D" a lot.

Armath Severine is the historical first graduate from the Teen Grid. I just like when he thinks out loud, though. He IMed me not too long ago, saying he was building "Bloo" with BRIX. I was initially under the mistaken impression he meant "Blue Linden". Infact, this Bloo is from a cartoon. It was roll-up-your-sleeves fun, as we improvised and did some things physically impossible. At one point, Armath tried to rotate an arm and it went all lopsided. I didn't fare any better when putting together a head like a dome, so I patchworked parts together. 3 AM neared and the sandbox wipe was imminent. We made it?right on time. Another? Another?? ANOTHER???

I've been spending more time inworld with Clarissa Dassin, who made this tree. Thing. She spent a number of hours working out the math to fit the segments together smoothly, and if you go and see it in Welsh, you may remark that there hasn't been such a nice fitting since Michi Lumin's original tail (look closely!). The top past the rope was inadvertently left shiny but I like it the most that way, and suggested this to Clari. It's stayed. She's pretty playful and showed a lot of care with this, so I can't wait to see what she comes up with next as she enjoys her second childhood. Anime incarnate.
