I am high right now, and not on drugs! I get so intense when passions from crazy corners and far-reaching parts of my life come together, it's like this formidable mashup of superheroes that can't speak the same language but need to join forces to defeat evil, or something like it!
Needless to say, I've got several things on the mind including: We Are the Strange (just finished watching Disc 2 with my dear wife), classic Amiga/PC game loaders (the crisp PWM warbles PWN!), games themselves like uhhh Bubble Bobble, Paul Rand and every typographic/design genius out there, motion graphics, and the fiction of Philip K. Dick (I've got two new books coming in the mail, one is his Reader and the other is the seminal cyberpunk anthology Mirrorshades which is also prompting me to be more awesome).
So OK! You can see they're all connected and I've united their forces.
hi Torley you dont know me because i dont play second life yet but i will on 13th birthday which is May, 30th, but your videos have inspired me to be awesome even if dont play yet.They have also inspired me to be awesome in RL.Yes i maybe a computer geek but it is what make us different that makes us awesome. I have a question. Are Linden staff members like yourself allowed to enter the teen second life world? If yes then i guess i might see you in world. keep the videos coming!
Oh, ya and the splash screen is awesome to. I do want to become a video game designer when i grow up so let me know if are thinking of making a game : ) Call me a dreamer, but dreams are what get people to awesomness. now because of you torley i say the word awesome way to often
LOL I was rummaging through my old box of video games and came up with a Gem, Electronic Arts' William Gibsons "Neromancer" ! the bonus was that DEVO did the Soundtrack on it…. I need to find a old machine so I can play this bad boy, for its time, this came was cutting edge.
Mirrorshades, such a Classic Cyberpunk book. Have you read Neil Stephenson's "Snow Crash" lately? One of favorites on my read list, must of read it at least 20+ times aleady.

Computer geek pride is important in today's world, which is so computer-heavy. If you have skills, they will come in handy! And yes, Lindens are on Teen Second Life too and I've been there several times!

@Sabastian: I never played through that whole game, but I reckon another way to play it would be to download a version from the Net for use with an emulator. Since you own the original, it's not a legal problem.
Snow Crash is wonderful, and will forever be associated with Second Life in people's minds, I think. I like The Diamond Age even more, one of my fave books of all-time. Terribly multilayered and funny, insightful and moving.
