After seeing this fun video with Kyle Machulis|qDot Bunnyhug, it reminded me that I wanted to sign up for Twitter awhile ago — not that I'm facing any great shortage of social networking, but out of curioisity and because the company behind it is called Obvious. (Yes, again consider how my motivations are half-generic, and the other 50% is so far out in space.)

To my delight, I found out that my Second Life posts are already being Twittered by Koz Farina's blogHUD. Sans images, but with clever shortlinks to the full details, incl. pictures. And if there's one woeful thing about Twitter, aside from avatar icons, there's too many words. So let's think about this: we've got microblogging and photoblogging. Why not put the two together, an expansive pictorial view like what Flickr Leech offers? Fun-size squares!

Heck, if you really need words, lemme have a maximum of 4 words/pic to tag it for searching later.

Ah… I got carried away, but essentially (albeit more expansive), that's what blogHUD already does. See 3pointD's "The Beautiful Simplicity of Twitter (and BlogHUD)" for a comprehensive overview.

In the meantime, my passion for crossposting grows.
