Islamey impressions

Feeling lots inspired today.

Had great opportunities to create art. Didn't blow them away.

^ This is an impressionistic rendition of Islamey, Chouchou's floating concert stage. I've raved about them before, and while I like the silver and golden, very "Christmas regal" tones, I wanted to take things into a direction that mimicked the 70s, yet didn't go overboard on the rainbow spectrum angle, as James Whíte does so well.

Maybe someday, I should compile "Torley's big book of inspirations" showing all the art that came before me that touched me in some special way (ha-ha!) and led to my own developments…

so here again, we have something where I've taken disparate influences from across time and space. And like I said earlier today on Twitter:

I like movies where people have to break into a museum to free something vital to their objectives, be it time travel or rescuing the world.

IT'S LIKE COLLAPSING MULTIVERSE DIMENSIONS!

Well, I hope you like it. :)
