Little Bits
Posted on: July 27, 200610 Questions to Ask When Taking a Digital Photo is a super article. I've applied some of the principles therein to my Second Life photography. What surprised me was I saw a picture by Keith Morris aka Jade Lily next to #4. I wish there was an easier way in Second Life to focus on foreground subjects and blur everything behind.
"What are the Lindens' favorite SF novels?" continues to rock even harder on the SL Forums today. Maaaan, record by far. I'll note I neglected to mention Isaac Asimov; I really like his writing a lot. All this talk of robots becoming human gets me hungry.
I found a really nice little book called Images of Second Life on SL Exchange. It's by Scrap Book. It has a comic book format and all credit is given where due. Good stuff. Sample images here.
Tao Takashi put together a cool aggregated (I love that word) page called World of SL. It shows exactly that: a collected listing of SL blog posts on a single, very scrollable page. Saves me time, even if I use an RSS reader. I've IMed Tao to please update my feed URL tho; the current one isn't displaying full posts—this is what's right.
