"Closer to the edits!" Here's some snappies of what it's been looking like, as one element has been tweaked after another. In chronological order:
Less gray, more green! Subtle light green (#EEFFEE), which is supposed to be soothing on your eyes — I'm not going so all-out SUPER-SATURATION on stylistic elements because I want featured content to stand out more. The old design (Tiga theme) I had was very boxy and it served its worth.
As much as I liked the Georgia font before, I'm going with Verdana here because I think longer-term, it'll be better for presenting content and readability.
Overall so far, looks promising, but I'm listening to your suggestions.
BTW, on an unconnected note if my site's been down, pardon — it's beyond my control. (Just got back up.) Dreamhost has been having probs with the machine my stuff is on, and I've been writing them regularly. Thankfully, their support has been stellar…
I can also speak similarly about Jason of Press75.com, who's the source behind this blog theme titled "On Demand". I've been active in his forums as one incremental thing after another comes up.

Pale colors!
The light-green background is good. I've recently made a site using a light yellow-brownish background with black text. I found it easier on the eye than harsh #ffffff white.
I also have my monitor set up relatively dark, so it's slightly lighter than my surroundings.
With this in mind, my only suggestion would be to make the grey text in this textarea a bit darker. Just a bit more contrast. It looks greyed out, disabled now.
@Chance: And some not-so-pale ones!
@Daed: The light-green here is sort of based on the body of my previous blog, where it was light green but boxed in.
A lot of sites use white or black as a background, so I approve of slightly off-white experimenting.
I darkened the text in the comment box to black from the previous grey — does it look better now?
Ah yes, this looks better to me. Like I said, the grey gave me a sense of an inactive element. Black is of course a traditional choice, but it's familiar.
Wow… I love the new colors and layout. I also really like the new Home Page! I like how you've showcased your most current blog posts at the top – cool!
Note: the font on some older posts, i.e. "Air Adjustments", is a lot bigger than your normal font for body text like in this post. It looks like the older posts' body text may still be using a CSS stylesheet with font size=3 ???
Aloha
@Sahoni: That dates back to a time when I was unaware of CSS and MANUALLY set fonts. You may notice, along the same lines, older posts that have Georgia font faces littered in the HTML.
It doth make me embarrassed, but moving onward, things got better.
@Torley: Doh! that makes sense – sorry. I was mistaken. LOL

Thank you Torley for being an ispiration.
Looks great, Torley – especially the home page! Love the visual organization there. The rest of the site is clean and easy to read. A big change form the crazy colors and choas of the old look.
@Sahoni: *goes to watch*
@Vlad: Thank you! Glad you think so!
