New video interview! Torrants #1: Much ado about doing
Posted on: April 1, 2008After my first video interview and that hand-twisty thing, I've decided to turn this into a series. Let's have some fun and see where it goes. Contained within:
- what was your childhood like?
- if you made a movie (no budget limits, total creative control), what would it be?
- what's next for Torley?
- photobook of super wicked awesome high quality snapshots?
- when's your birthday?
- what do you think of Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
- could you do a quick impression of Walton Simons?
- I like No-Face from Spirited Away
- Philip K. Dick's Ubik is kewl
- misc. unraveling
- "followup" is one of my fave words
And OH if you have questions you'd like me to answer, please leave them in this blog post's comments, not the YouTube ones — altho I did read them and appreciate them + the nice ratings! — so I can easier keep track. Also keep in mind I'm not answering any official work/policy stuff unless it's about video tutorials and my opinions on the art + science of video tutorial/screencast making (yes, I have a lot).
I'm also mulling over doing YouTube video responses to stuff that cracks me up, but I don't have a lot of time right now. So maybe later.
HAVE AT IT.

Question: We all know that watermelon is your favorite fruit. What's your second favorite?

Ooh, thanks so much for responding to my questions, Torley. It made me very happy to see you do the Walton Simons impression! ^^

Are you an Elvis man or a Beatles man?

Hi Torley:)
I am really interested in the techno side of things of your musical exploration. It would be great if you are able to list some of your influences, and what you listen to now if you get the time. Thanks!

Thanks for the insightfully Torley-esque responses to my questions!
If you were maybe wondering about my name, it's a misspelling of an old word for dragon:

@Sabastian: Sounds nice, but I don't want to get bogged down in meetings! Thanks for the vote of confidence! =^_^=
@Thattagen, Cerulean, and Alec… I answered yours in Torrants #2, with my lovely wife as special assistant! http://youtube.com/watch?v=XGbBrMoWyBE I'll blog about it soon.
@Val: You're welcome, I have a newer version of the firmware.
@Amphithetre: Kewl, I like hearing about the origins of stuff.
@Gigs: Big image! Whoa, coolness. I like zooming in really close.
@Lhynnan: That's a great question for the next episode… *makes a note* stay tuned! Re: fish eyes, don't knock 'em unless you've tried 'em… I like eating them with the rest of the fish. I haven't had 'em in a long time, tho.
