@Seraphine: Thankya! I often go to newcomer areas, and wish I could see eyes opening wide with amazement (or initial bafflement like "Whoa I'm in the Matrix!", understandable). Awhile back I did a Flickr set on the old OI when it got very full… I'm now thinking to turn some like that (but on the current OI) into paintings and suches.
Thank you for making a link back to your Flicker set on being a Newbie. It brought back some lost memories. I was so anxious to explore Second Life, I neglected to stop and smell the roses– or to photograph the experience.
@Seraphine: And you're most graciously welcome! Ah, what transpires: on the current Orientation Island, a snapshot station was added, so every new Resi gets a chance to send a postcard of their first day!

I love the artsy thing. Orientation Island never looked so good to me. I avoid noob places completely.
