Simplicity
Posted on: October 4, 2006John Maeda is a genius. And he comes off as a very nice, fun guy too — it's rare to have all those traits because the world knows eccentric geniuses who are self-destructive and antisocial. That's really lame!
John Maeda looks great stroking his chin too. He doesn't look like a snob. Also rare.
On-topic, I've been spending more time learning from Maeda's writings. From his popularity-cited Laws of Simplicity to the presence of watermelon colors on his website. (Draws me like a shark to blood.)
I finally think I know what an API is too, thanx to Maeda's API Decoder Ring.
I hope he comes back to Second Life because I missed him.
I don't really relate to meeting "movers or shakers", it's all quite odd to me like getting down on one's knees to hug a turkey and say "I'M GONNA EAT YOU FOR THANKSGIVING!", but if I did want to meet a notable luminary, I'd certainly want to meet John Maeda.
This is what simplicity means to me:
