SNAKES ON A PLANE!
Posted on: July 20, 2006I thank Second Life for helping me get excited about this movie.
Believe it or not, I wasn't goofing off—I was testing for bugs (more like serpents, but hey, I digress)! Specifically, I verified we currently can't select multiple objects and batch-change several properties like we used to be able to: Physical, Temporary, and Phantom.
This is intensely useful when you drop a bunch of balls from the sky and want to make them all non-physical with one fell click of the mouse. Used to be possible; I did it many times! But today, you have to click them one at a time… and it gets very laborious.
Snakes deserve better. Especially when they're on planes.
[UPDATE - 2006.07.20] Thanx Hamlet! *creates a trackback loop like a caduceus* And in more happy news, this slithering bug is now a known issue and I look forward to it being fixed by Sabin Linden!
I just learned that Master Penguin of Second Life Insider also blogged about my SOAP experiment! Sweetness—if there's one thing I like to do, it's to make learning fun. That, and oh, learning to make cubed watermelons.
