SoNet fun! Playing with Virb. Heard of them before but surprised I didn’t feel compelled to join until now. Site design very clean, like a nice hotel. Optimized profile layout for musicos like me. Uploaded 20 tracks of my Dream Journal (that’s all they allow initially, then 5/week). I like the simple layout of the album widget. Shows all songs, unlike Bandcamp’s, as you can see here
Skinning is very nice, I can customize colors to make it feel like me. Strangely, embedded widgets don’t allow matching colors (unlike Bandcamp). Having used so many sites by now, I tend to compare features rigorously and vigorously.
A lot more “rich” functionality than a simple aggregator like FriendFeed. Am not really sure what I’m going to do at Virb yet which is so uniquely special, but it should be an “experience”. Ta.
