One of the bestest articles I've ever seen written on Second Life is "Does your life suck?" by Camille Dodero. Really, really great. It's kinda like one of those slowly-approaching alien carriers that suddenly spits out a multitude of little fighters like a swarm of happy bees. As I effused in the comments, pardon the redundancy (no, not really):

"I gotta say, this is one of the best articles I have EVER seen written on Second Life. You hit so many of the high points, both the generic and the more esoteric stuff… and YOU USE SLURLS! Gorgeous, gorgeous. Anyhoo, thx for being a part of our world. :)"

Fun read, in any case. I wanted to attend an event where Camille wuz gonna be inworld, but I think I was in the wrong time zone. Alas. :\

Oh yeah rock on, we're getting handshakes:

next phase:
scripting will open it up for content creation in a tremendous way; scripting to 'get' position as well as 'set' in order to unite two avatars in a hand shake or hold hands move; need to get all joints accessible in LSL asap

not just yet, but forthcoming! That'll lay this to rest. CALL AND RESPONSE!

I might apply for this job posting by Eric Rice aka Spin Martin if I didn't work for LL. I first spotted the news at 3pointD. :) About time more explorer jobs are being toted. I look forward to seeing who gets it—great idea, Spin!

ninjafoo Ng kindly pointed this my way:

Freakin' hilarious. I'd eat watermelon as much ass too. Maybe I need a porcine av next. (Torcine?) From Engrish (which I hadn't been to in awhile).
