Posted on: April 24, 2007I don't watch TV, but if I did, I'd watch Heroes for at least one good reason: Masi Oka's role as effervescent time-traveler Hiro Nakamura. He's a great character, and the actor portraying him seems very charming, at least from the interview vids I've seen on YouTube. Even better, he's not just an actor: he's a full-fledged special effects artist, having had a hand in programming magic like the water in Pirates of the Caribbean. My new hero for sure!
I eat "the rock". It's what started as a 4-pound block of Callebaut white chocolate that I acquired months ago from the bulk foods section of the supermarket. Piece by piece, I've been gnawing away at it to sate my consummate cravings. Earlier, I tried to break it into pieces by wailing away with a sledgehammer, but this only left dents. Thus, I continue to nibble away, slivers at a time. Delicious!
If there was ever a song that begged to be turned into a Second Life gesture, it's "Panda Style" by LAOS. Hear why:
I could imagine some pretty rompin' machinima being made using this as a soundtrack, too. Even the cover art is cute, with a nose like a heart and a yellow star on red circle which appears to be Chinesque. Wild!
Shiina Ringo's "Le Salle de Bain" gives us hope for what inworld fashion and particle systems should be like in a couple or so years. Even better (IMGO) is the rearranged version on her new album, Heisei Fuzoku. Featuring a prominent dance beat, the lyrical sway of the orchestra, and Shiina's overwhelmingly emotive voice, her eclectic style will appeal to those who like/love Bjork. Tuneful!
I'm looking for:
- [ ] Elfen Lied-style vectors
- [ ] Chinese Peking opera costumes… because

@Millie: Yes, this is basically a followup to my '05 wishes for better avatar decapitations, which we'll get somewhat nearer to with avatar puppeteering (which is still being worked on).
