Spore proves intelligent design is possible
Posted on: June 18, 2008This crowdsourcing thing’s really working out, ma!
Imagine if frat boys were god. I mean, c’mon…
SOURCE: go to Spore’s Channel, then sort User Uploads by “Most Viewed”. Or go here and here for the videos in question. And here for moar hilarity. News can’t help but break and make!
It’s only a matter of time before fanart/slashfic comes pouring in.
What’s your theory, evolutionary defense mechanism? A means to attract mates? Or the roots of language?
Now let’s see some creative equivalents for the ladies! IT BEGINS.

I guess there will be some interesting civilizations spring up pretty quick.
Now if only I could get the creator thing to run on vista 64.

Had to dl directx 9 to make it work. odd since vista comes with dx10. msft must have forgotten backwards compatibility for vista 64.
Hope the url tag works this time…

LOL was already waiting for this to come: EA is going to ban the accounts with this special creatures, see this article: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=191272

@Coyote: What I find funny (very funny) is how Robin Williams' demo of Spore, in front of Will Wright, got close to doing these "special creatures" at points. It's true that perhaps these are such generic shapes that they can be interpreted in more ways than a Rorschach test, but still… it's in our DNA to breed! (Most of the time.)
We can't ban dogs from humping in the wild… but we can sure do it to humans! Look how civilized we are! Wheeee! ;D
