"Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say"
-New Order, "Bizarre Love Triangle"

That quote has nothing to do with this entry but I thought it was a good idea at the time. After an agonizing two-day hiatus (LOL) I have returned. And in the process I have come to find empty sims with buildings sprung up all over them like Ginko(Tec Island) and Andromeda's Azure Islands. Quite a surprise. I figure one day I will just lay me down to sleep in the middle of an open field and then wake up and find myself not unlike Charlton Heston in a certain alternate reality flick, and then the reptilian apes?with beady eyes and?furry tentacles?will grab my arms and bring me to the giant watermelon in the town square and command me to dance in it. That, can be arranged.

This next paragraph is a followup of what transpired here. Going ahead with their dream, the GinkoTec group have purchased a full sim called Ginko and the original scale model is shown inset. The timeframe is appoximately 2020 A.D., as I understand it, and those buildings are like big towers of concrete Jello, ready to be devoured by the fevered imaginations of tha G-Tec. When I arrived, the Sim FPS, while a poor indicator of actual performance, was at a blistering 1500+ –Hinoserm Rebus took me for a wild ride around the streets in what turned out to be an action-packed episode of going up past the clouds and dropping down, down down. He encouraged me to set my draw distance to 512, and as the wispy cumulusty candy zoomed past our noses on the steep descent, I could only think of one thing, and it wasn't a word. Although a good word is "map".

What is beary beary good in SL? This thread.?A fine example of?how one good thing — the official Linden bears — can lead to another, which is this proliferation of resident-created cuddlies.?Devlin Gallant gave me a tour the other day of his cherubic facilities, a land called "Public" which is not, but which has 75 bears of his collection and counting. More than can be pictured are there, if you go. I drifted down again in the sunset to revisit. If you've not been there yet, have a look at this collection?@ Penrith (180,86)?– and more citizens of SL are starting their own. Bearware!
