I fancy tools that make tasks easy. To generate frequently-used words from blocks of text, I've played with Wordle like just about any other Web 2.0 connoisseur has, but here's the rub: for all its multicolored beauty, it isn't easy enough to simply copy-and-paste a tag cloud as test. I'm sorry, that Java just gets in the way.
Which is why I'm glad to've found TagCrowd. One of my key uses for tag clouds is inspiration for what to accompany thematic Flickr and YouTube uploads with. You can also paste a generated cloud into a webpage, which I haven't done yet. But for what it does simply and well, TagCrowd works a treat, as shown here:
