We… I mean *I*… 've been busy
*big happy smile*!
?
Okay, what we… I mean *I*… have for you today is some top-notch tuneage consisting of: a full track and a Teaser Pentagon (yesh, it was going to be a Teaser Square but if two is company and three is a crowd, what do four and five make?)))))
?
TODAY IS A BIG RIFF/MELODIC TRANCYDANCY CELEBRATION!!! So if you like your dance music, uh, trancy and with catchy, Kraft Dinner marries Caviar with a touch of Moet melodies, it's here for YOU!!! (can you tell i'm enthused?)
?
(I really must advocate Cool Whip with strawberries… just had to say that… mmm mmm the bestest!!!)
?
First off the bat we've got "Activ8", which is like a 10-minute sexy beast!! Don't worry, I know what you're thinking… it DOES change up and varies itself as the themes develop, hence the name. There's even a touch of jazz, but not in a jazzy way. Look out for the oblique reference to tranceydance of years past and years present and maybe even years future! Well worth the download. The length is approx. the time it takes me to do several house(y) chores.
?
And now for our Teaser Pentagon:
?
?
"Sisters" - There's a counterpart track to this called "Brothers", go figure huh? Anyway I wanted to make this very lush, soaring, uplifting prog trance (whatever the heck THAT is!). Let's just say it's fun and good to dance to. Simply complex.
?
"Miracles" - I made this track for pre-lovemaking bliss if you're going to have a baby. No kidding. Really, no kidding. I do things like this. I think babies are miracles, and since we were all babies at one point in time, it makes sense, right? I also believe there are many daily miracles all over the world, or from a humanist standpoint — things you rationally should not take for granted because the universe heads towards entropy. Appreciate it all because there is really SO much pain and suffering in the world and please, please don't waste your precious time & energy on things that get you down (i.e. Internet message board flamewars, seen one too many of them in my time). And if you're not going to have a baby, it's okay, lovemaking and loving yourself are miracles too. Really.
?
"The House of Techno" - Self-explanatory in some ways. I have active technopolitical views. Quite frankly, I think there are a lot of redundant hypocrisy and contradictions within the world of Electronic Dance Music. I welcome some of the contradictions, not so much the hypocrisy. If we are to move forward in sound, how can we hold anything back? Anyway, there's *unfortunately* a lot of this and what I'll call "digital wankery" scaring off newbies (which I warmly welcome to the world) and the jadedness is yuck… and WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO PLUR(R)? So this track is about uniting what has been divided. I love diversity (still do) and variety is the spice of life, so spice it up. As my brother Zephos would say, "spicy girl!"
?
"The Promise" - Is about a promise I made to someone. I wanted a gentle, memorable melody, a more rock-style beat but processed digitally, and a few other video gamey touches. I got what I wanted. Although this is not?trance per se, it does have a sort of hypnotic, pulsating feel
?
"Trans" - winding things down with a beatless, lush, ambient soundscape, it's got this very warm loving feel like holding onto your Mom and Dad when you're a tot… I named this as such because I wanted to get a feeling ACROSS. Mwa ha ha.
?
?
Whew, typing. There ya go. Enjoy, if my music makes your day a little more fun and puts a smile on your face, FANTASTICO — 'cause that's what it's for, baby!
?
Coming next after next?? More proghouseyness mixed with a touch of ass, uh, class? Maybe??? Maybe not?!?
?
Back to the workshop . . .
