That to know yourself is to set you free

From?one day to the next, I'm bouncing back from TeleHub to telehub, in pursuit of wacky new antics to partake in. It's usually when I'm not searching that I come across something, though, which is one of the great?ironies of my Second Life: it tells its own story. Like a reality TV show, but a good one (oh, how I jest!). And the converse holds true, so it's quite a tasty milkshake. Near, far, wherever you are… I might just be teleporting near you soon!
Awhile back, I helped Dan Rhodes collect an assortment of beverages for the bar at his pad @ Quat (30, 26) . I'm glad to see he's getting good drinkage out of them. I had a fun time?going clubhopping and looking for freebie bags, as well as attending openings of events that had drinks available. I did the virtual equivalent of stashing them all in big bags (aka "folders") and sendin' 'em back to Dan.
After all this time, I've FINALLY gotten around to seeing the trippy fireworks show at Jopsy Pendragon's place. It only happens at sunset,?so it's one of those special, chronodependent types of things to attend.?Like a Winamp visualizer, the particle magic will swirl and sway around you as you sit in one of the comfy chairs provided. I wonder if the deck's ever been full of avatars? I watched alone, although company would have been welcome.?I debated turning off the clouds since they provided an extra fluffy nuance. Head to Teal (107, 100) and fly up about 200 meters.
Takin' a break… here's me, Iris Linden, and Brent Linden resting on a bench. Be sure to give Brent an extremely warm welcome, he's a new Linden Liason and a great guy to look up to! (Hmmm… I just noticed the earpiece. I wonder what that's for.) The camcorder Iris is holding is?of a?Nylon Pinkney make. Look closely at and you can see the subtle, almost graphic novel-shading on it.
The other day, Delairen Baysklef wanted to show me something, but I unfortunately couldn't make it at the time — sorry Del, and I REALLY NEED CLONES! — so she directed me to her friend Shagz Anubis, who is now my friend too. I wondered what all the muss was about, so afted being TPed, I found myself next to Shagushi Sushi @ Alua (251, 15)?.?Six (6) different varieties, only L$25 each! Suitably prim-heavy, they come with cute eating animations so your av will take a bite every now and then. Shagz has a good grasp of the surreal and he has some crazy ideas in the works for the future of SL, including a tourist bus.?He also showed me some of his furniture which would work great in a fairytale come true — wait, isn't that what Second Life is?
This photo was taken in the sushi shop Jimmy Thomson made for me in Chinatown.
Fancy new footwear which does me well. Korin Ingersoll has a new line of keddish K-Type (like a sister brand to R-Type)?shoes, comfy and stylish — and for me, they come in watermelon. A must.?Thanks Korin! They'll be hitting the market soon, so IM Korin if you're interested in more details. They'll likely be available at the R-Type store @ Garrison (97, 197) .
Yesterday, Nikolaii Uritsky, Fearless Leader, Kate?Hanks?and I hung out at Kate and Mal's place. We chatted some, Fearless brought out a gazebo creation of his (alas 10 prims too many?to be a hovervehicle), but oh did we have fun spinning around on it like some demented merry-go-round. I showed my allies the watermelon boosters Jillian hath made, and Kate had the brilliant Gumpian idea of attaching it so she wore it like a hat on her head. We made several expeditions towards the moon later that night, as well as had a "little" clubel fun.?LIFTOFF!!!
Barnesworth Anubis, a regal name if there ever was one, entertained me with humorous tales of his days in TSO and his architectural philosophy earlier. He let me know of a show home he built out in the span of Clara (142, 171) . As you can see, it has a vintage feel to it, and upon sensing the retro air,?Barnes indeed confirmed that there is a real classic Americana lilt to it. Me? I'm just glad he got to realize his Paula Abdul dreams.
TALK TO THE KITTY! YES, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!!1 Kats, the disturbingly cute maker of these Kreatures, foisted an oversized pussy-cat on me, and wow does it meow. It looks passively pissed-off too, which given my sunny demeanor, I might have to indicate as a plus. GIVE THE KITTY A HEIMLICH… DON'T LET KITTY CHOKE ON FURBALL!! Which, speaking of, I haven't named this Kat's cat yet. Cornelius, maybe? Hmmm. Kats also has hippos available, which are, like, the official animal of SL.
