The Council of Technosnobs
Posted on: May 16, 2004Today's MP3 du jour is "The Council of Technosnobs". I am a technosnob myself time to time, but with good reason: I believe that embracing technology with astute and judicious precision?(which carries the risk of being arrogant in a good way) and being aware of both its benefits and potential risks/harm to humanity (like the Terminator?or those madcap inventions in Dexter's Lab
) helps us to make educated, enlightened decisions. As opposed to absolut ignorance. This also applies to making decisions when it comes to other things, like?drugs (of the non-prescription variety) for example. Be informed. As for what we can't be sure of, we can't be sure of.

This techy?track is NOT very melodic, so consider it more diversity coming from me. It is bass heavy. It is also abrasive but cuddly, rough but cute, and?I wanted to impart a sort of "live jam" feel to it so I mixed parts of the tracks in realtime, switching patterns on and off and bouncing bouncing BoUnCiNg my head to the music. It's minimal in a maximal way (now where have I heard that before?), and you are welcome to mix it into your sets if DJing is your thing. It's even got a (short) proper intro/outro to mix the beats. It's 146 BPM when I last checked. I picked that number because it has symbolic meaning to me.

Thank you graciously, as always.
