The Saddiction of Morris Ahern
Posted on: April 23, 2005Morris Ahern was a sad bastid until he was all welcome.?And with happiness comes cat food and ICE CREAM (sorbet, cleansing for the palette)! Tatooine has two suns, and so I have two lives! And let's see what just happened… Tren Neva called me ovah, saying there was somethin' she needed mah approval on. Lalala… and so, I came, all the way to the Island Sandbox, which crashed some minutes later, sending us all to Luna land and dunking me in the drink. But let's back up first!
On an orbital platform slightly above the cloud laid GinkoTec's future. In the matter of superstance that you are not familiar with Ginko Technologies Incorporated, simply head to the sim of Arena and look around for the big logo things and stuff. THEN YOU SHALL LEARN. And learn you shall. What's happening is that the grand masterplan is for the Ginko peeps — pictured are Trennie, Cherabim Xia (who has?one more?strange chair!), and Hinoserm Rebus — to get their own private island. Big risk leading to bigger rewards, i hope! This continues off of a previous entry, and really, to see a PI planned so well is infinitesimally rare. This model will also serve as the actual realtime 3D map once plans are gone through with, so you know YOU ARE HERE. The theme will be futuristic and fun, and I hope to see at least ONE ice-cream truck. If you want a free map model, just IM me!
I would now like to say some kind words about Chera, because today is the first time we've met inworld. We're forum buddies and I've exchanged IMs before to get a moddable version of her hamster chair. She is a delightful personality, extremely fun and friendly, and we really get on well. I'd like to quote her on two things, the first profoundly?absurd, the second absurdly profound:
Cherabim Xia: I might need to use an ATM soon, cause I'll be slepping Ice Cream.
Cherabim Xia: Even playing MMO's for a long time, SL is TOTALLY different.
And there you have it. After heading back to Arena, we deployed these multitool toys that were scripted by Brian Mifflin and designed by Inkspaught Magpie, I thinks. We started using them to send each other down the river… a very radioactive one, I might add. Even funnier was using the "/2 ping" command to point at each other with particles and do this. We?collectively came up with the idea of heading to the?Welcome Area.?Chage McCoy came by in his balloon, he's going to be setting up races soon!

Word has it that a NEW VERSION OF XYOBJECT, by Xylor and Delairen Baysklef, will be out. Let the rumores beginneth. What does this mean? Well, to me, it means that someday I may be able to make a watermelon so gargantuan that I could not eat it in a day.
And that, my fellow residents of Second Life, is saying a lot.
