@vint: Ah I didn't see any evening tilt-shift photos before. So, I did one. I'd like to see what you can do! :)

@Apollo: My draw distance was like 256 m for that shot I think (for wider angles I often opt for 256-512) and I also turned Render Ground OFF.

@Myg: Yes, click-through and it sez that in the tags so peeps can find it. =)

@Alexander: Why thank you so much!

@Prion: Basically, this nice tutorial. :D

I get a kick out of applying "RL" photography techniques to SL.

Colors a bit off for a tilt shift maquette-lookalike.

Shoot noon, but use the luminosity of the sunset. ;)

Yep that's exactly what it is - I recognised it too, and you can also tell from the tags on the Flickr page for the photo. I love the depth of field and lighting/brightness effects, as for me it makes the whole scene seem like it's a tiny scale model... which I guess is the idea behind that particular style. :) Also, how high is your draw distance and was this taken with that trick to push distance fogging even further back? It just seems so clear for what must have been a fairly wide shot.

Is this photo of Imtemptesta or Sanctum Sanctorum by any chance? It's a gorgeous shot, and the textures remind me of those sims by Sue Stonebender and Baron Grayson. It almost looks like Sue's courtyard with the opera house in the background...this is such a nice picture - I need go back there soon!

Oh. My. God. This may be the one single reason for me to re-enter Second Life.

That looks splendid! I can't tear my eyes away from it. Great work!
