Torley on Piano 02 - Fun with ostinatos
Posted on: June 4, 2007Here's the episode where I show the story of how to play minimalist piano music fit for the silver screen.
"… so there's a certain amount of subtlety, while at the same time, a great emotiveness which comes from within your heart — that's how you have to play!"

Thanks a lot, very nice sound!
(for the education too - apparently I did use ostinatos quite a lot while playing, but never knew they were called so

Glass is roving up in his narrow metaphorical grave at this BUT… if he had even a fraction of your abilities at communicating emotions verbally and how these are xpressed in quite non obvious ways then probably this would be a better world. Yep! Thank you, this was quite a piece of art.

Watching you play and educate and have a good time in this video(or heck, any of 'em really) makes me feel happy.
Thanks Torley, you're supah!

Why on YouTube when you can be in SL with a chain of live music events?

Thanx so much each of you! Dalien, starcomber, Val, Daedalus, and Day!
Re: Philip Glass, I'd like to meet him someday (I have terrible idol worship for him) and ask him what he thinks of that bootleg album compiled by dj BC, titled Glassbreaks
Re: "chain of live music events", I'm definitely leaving open possibilities for doing that in the future. When we get voice released on Live Grid, I'd like to see coffee shop events and such where people strum guitars and invite others in for a gander. I know the audio would only be mono, but there's so much more that can be done with spatialized sound…
