Trackitdown is one of my fave sites to preview music. As a digital download store, its focus is electronic music across a diversity of styles, from house to drum 'n' bass, and if those words mean nothing to you, it's fortunate they have a kickass music player to demonstrate. Not only does it have a customizable playlist, it persists across page reloads and sessions. What a great way to encourage you to spend more time on their site — stickyness — and discover music you'll enjoy.

I focus more on the music player than anything else because it's so goshdarned awesome, but be sure to visit and delight firsthand.
Amazon.com and other heavies could learn a lot from Trackitdown's example, and I'm not happy more MP3 preview players aren't this good.
