I've just become acquainted with Vint Falken's style, and I'm most impressed: Vint has a rare talent for compositing herself and models with post-processed work, some of it taken from that place we know as "real life". You can follow the evolution of her talents on her Flickr photostream.
As I like to preach, there's no better to demonstrate your mastery than to teach, and I learned on the Flickr Second Life group that Vint's begun posting… OMG… SNAPSHOT TUTORIALS!
Be sure to check out:
Some of my most potent faves are included. Admittedly, this is in part because Vint cites material which I prepared, which I am all too happy to share openly, and which I'm even happier to see used well, and advanced upon. 'Cuz it's too easy to take crap snaps, and if you can better yourself, you'll be happier with the photographic memories you've preserved.

These tutorials are great! I've taught camera controls & snapshots in-world a number of times, and still love learning new things!
(I wish people would share the "quiet snapshots to disk" tip before wedding events…)
Thanx Ipenda, for letting me know! Haha, re: wedding events, that's one luxury in Second Life that isn't so easy to come by offline (even with quieter digital cameras, you often have the flash going off… but then again, I want controllable exposure times in SL)!
I'm convinced Second Life photography's not just mere "screenshots", but a blossoming art that is still in its nascent infancy, so to me, soooo exciting to see so much development happening.
