Watermelinden Land featured on The Goddess and Banana podcast
Posted on: January 10, 2007(I'm late with this — so first, I severely apologize! My blogging has been far behind, so here's me, huffing and puffing, to get back on track.)
Yxes Delacroix and Banana Stein are a lovely couple who do The Goddess & Banana: a SL Audio Affair podcast. As SL grows, I've been watching for the emergence of audio programmes relating to it, not just "the usual news and commentary" but viewpoints I've not considered before. Heck, that sounds too serious — I'm in it for the fun!
Yxes also has an art gallery inworld which I visited recently; note on the second picture, I used Client menu > Rendering > Hide Selected so I could see both floors at once:
On Dec. 30, 2006, Yxes and Banana came to visit me inworld as I was building Watermelinden Land @ the Linden Village. Now get this, what's so kewl — and I only found this out after listening to the show — is they were checking out my place and Yxes was IMing me while they were recording. Yes, they captured that moment on tape.
(I wonder what the string piece is in the intro? Very classy indeed.)
Later in the show, they talk about their New Year's predictions. Yxes forecasted:
That every day, there is going to be a… high point… something that is noteworthy to talk about and share with my partner, my friends, or whoever cares to listen!
That's a philosophy I live my Lives by: I like to exclaim, "Bring me new things!" and being surprised by this podcast sure made me smile. You can listen to the whole, almost 30-min. podcast — Show #75 - Predictions — right here:
Go to the GBAffair site to find out more. They've got a great color scheme going with the indigo-to-pink, and suitably, the yellow for Banana. I'm pleased to say I was…
w3wt! I'm so happy I was the epitomy of your excitement that day too, Yxes! May both of you meet many, many Lindens. Pathfinder and I are currently championing an initiative for more Lindens to spend quality time in the Linden Village. While we may not multiply like bunnies, I hope this newly-birthed year brings more close encounters of the Lindeny kind for ya… and thank you graciously.
