Good lord, what's he talking about? 43 Folders can tell you. It's freakin' hilarious how he guffaws during the podcast, sounds like he's got more enthusiasm than Steve Ballmer chanting "Developers!" And that, along with managing my email more sagely, is something I certainly can relate to. I check it regularly, but not to the point where that — instead of achieving my goals in a day! — becomes the dominant focus. It's hard, because the reward mechanism is so complicit.
But it needs to be done, so work can be done. Often when I'm in Second Life, I just shut my inbox view to Gmail entirely.
I don't use a PDA. Of any kind. Unless you count dead trees.
